These antique oak thumb chairs came out of a meetinghouse built back in 1787 in Massachusetts. The chairs date to the early 1800’s and have wooden peg construction (see photo). The overall design is simple and plain and look as good today as they did back when they were constructed.
The original rush seats have been replaced with navy blue Shaker tape woven in a herringbone pattern. They measure 36" high x 19" wide x 15" deep. Chairs show light wear wear and patina of appropriate age (see photos) but remain extremely strong & solid.
Listing is per chair, however I can do a discount for a set of 4, or 6. (there are 6 total available)
