Pair of framed matted reproductions of 18th century engravings, in handcrafted wood frames. These are reproductions of the engravings for March and May 1732 – The original designs and engravings were by Pieter Casteels and Henry Fletcher and formed part of a seed catalog titled Twelve Months of Fruit by Robert Furber, gardener at Kensington, in 1732. Each fruit is labeled inconspicuously and identified in the key at the bottom of the image. The handcrafted frames are by Britts Prints, Stowe, Vermont.
Estate item, believed to have been originally acquired in 1970s or 1980s.
The matching pair is in great condition and beautifully matted and framed (with just a little vintage wear to the frames and one tear to backing – see last photo).
Ready to embellish your home!
