This iconic, solid teak, square mid century Poul Jensen design features 4-solid mitered upturned lip borders surrounding the inlaid, figural teak table top, & a lower, slat-form magazine shelf. In excellent, original condition with nominal signs of age/wear, this seldom encountered example of this Poul Jensen form was not initially made for export. Its typically compact Danish market dimensions allow for versatility of placement & utility as a coffee, occasional/cocktail or larger, side/end table. Jensen designed a table for Selig which was similar in form, but featured a Danish paper cord or ‘rope’ lower shelf, rather than this slat teak. This is a scarce & wonderful piece.
