for sale is a vintage desk chair by Steelcase. Steelcase was founded in 1912 by Peter M. Wege in Grand Rapids, Michigan. the company's first products included fireproof metal safes and filing cabinets. originally named the Metal Office Furniture Company, the name Steelcase came from an advertising campaign to promote metal over wood furniture, although the company didn't officially change it's name until the 1950s.
