This beautiful globe light is the perfect centerpiece for your living room or brownstone parlor. Its large scale and airy quality make it both visually stunning and minimal impact. Originally purchased from Design Within Reach about 5 years ago, but we are renovating and looking to send it along to its next owners. Large size (41.5" diameter). Excellent condition. Bought for more than $2300, asking $1200 or best offer. Local pickup in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Link to DWR: http://www.dwr.com/lighting-ceiling/random-light/6987.html?lang=en_US#lang=en_US&start=36 "Hugely dramatic, light as a feather and distinctly Dutch, the Random Light (2001) by Bertjan Pot began as a modernist craft project of sorts. After making failed attempts at knitting fiberglass as a means of creating structure, Pot resorted to coiling a strand of epoxy-dipped fiberglass around a large balloon in varying patterns. Once the form had completely dried, the balloon was popped, leaving behind a dramatic globe-shaped form that serves as the diffuser for this stunningly airy pendant lamp. Random Light is suitable for entryways, lounge areas and dining rooms, with a light bulb visible at the center of the globe when lit, creating an all-over glow with minimal glare. Made in the Netherlands." LOOKING TO SELL THIS ASAP SO MAKE ME AN OFFER :)
