I'm a NYC prop stylist who shops a lot & a collector of some very cool stuff. The result: I have a bunch of truly neat things to pass along to you.
I have 2 vintage Lilly Pulitzer/ Key West Hand Prints large 27" X 27" floor pillow covers from the 1960s or early 1970s. They have a designer label for Olivia, which may have been a boutique that sold them, or a designer who made the pillows and sold them in the years before Lilly got a home collection together. They are made from Susie Zuzek design Key West Hand Prints fabrics, some that have the Lilly logo, and are very well made. If you don;t know Susie Zuzek she is worth a Google; she provided the prints for Lilly starting in 1962. These pillows, with matching piping, were rescued from a Greenwich, CT estate sale where they were pool cabana rec room pillows, and they must date from the 1970s based on the interior of the cabana, and by their metal CONSO zippers. They had old inserts in them that were original made with Kapok, a cotton batting that was popular in the 70s, but I threw those old inserts away and hand washed the cases so they are sparkling clean. You can order a pair of 30" X 30" insert from Amazon for 50 bucks and have the perfect lounging pillows for your apartment, living room, den, basement, or bedroom. I used them in a press preview display and they rocked. Lilly Pulitzer for Target did pillows a few years ago, but they were not as good as these. These are vintage Palm Beach/ Nantucket prep realness. They show some minor wear, but overall they are in excellent vintage condition. The dirt marks they had came out in the wash; there are a few very faint stains on one edge but honestly they present as perfect. I have shown only one of them with an insert; the other is similar but not identical in the patchwork.
