Up for sale are two Black Leather chairs--unofficial replicas of the LC2 Petit Modele Armchair designed by Le Corbusier in 1928, characteristic of the Bauhaus Movement. These 2 chairs are by an unknown Italian manufacturer--they are not originals as there does not seem to be a serial number or engraving by the designer or manufacturer. However, they are the closest unofficial reproduction I've seen of these chairs by a manufacturer other than Cassina (who currently holds the manufacturing license). There is some minor wear and tear on the leather and cushions, which have shaped with age, much like the originals do. There is a small tear in the leather on the outer right side of one of the chairs and a few small spots of rust at certain points on the chrome tubing. Dimensions: Depth 27" x Width 29.5" x Height 26"/ Seat Height 16" Other manufacturers who produce unofficial and altered replicas of this chair (altered enough to evade copyright infringements) sell their chairs for anywhere from $650 to $1100. The originals, produced by Cassina, sell at Design Within Reach for $5,055. Selling the pair for $750 - or $400 per chair.
