Tiggy
Tiggy & Pip
Tiggy & Pip is a vintage home décor shop by mother and son décor and interior design loving duo, Tiggy and Pip Coudray. With a shared love of all things French and vintage we opened our shop in 2011. Based in France, between Cognac and La Rochelle, we source unusual items from recent French and European history. Everyday French household items from the 1880's to 1980's which, although at one time were plentiful, are now increasingly rare and collectible. We source specialist props for films/photo shoots and interior designers. Many of our 'finds' are currently on display in a number of top New York restaurants and Hollywood apartments.

Description

This is a very rare set of Twelve Porcelain Tea Plates and Matching Serving Platter in a Pretty Chintzy, Delicate, Roses Design. If you are decorating a Country Cottage Dresser or love the idea of recreating a 'Traditional Cream Tea' for a Summer Garden Party then these are for you. Such a pretty set on which to display and serve your Scones with Jam and Cream or slices of Victoria Sponge. The platter measures 26cms/10" diameter and carries the 'BF France' porcelain mark on the underside. It has no chips or cracks. The twelve smaller plates each measure 19cms/7½" diameter- They are also in excellent condition with no chips, scratches or cracks. One or two of the plates have slightly 'rough, dinted feet' on the undersides. but nothing to detract from the beauty or functionality of these gorgeous plates. There is some very, very slight wear to the 'blue lines' at the edges which enhances the 'shabby chic' look and adds to the authenticity. This is to be expected with plates like these from the 1950's. Taking these photos gave me a brilliant excuse to make some cupcakes! .......so.............. .............let's get the bunting out! ...............et voilà!...............Bonne Appétit!........
