Description

This chair was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan by the Barber Brothers Chair company sometime before 1910. It has the original paper label and is marked Chair #100. There is another label as well but all I can make out is the word "Art" The seat seems to be the original leather, although someone did cover over it at some point based on tacking ribbon underneath. The chair is fairly sturdy but it does have issues: the leather is worn and ripped in several places. It is missing one support rod along the bottom on the side. This allows for some slight movement, as shown in the video. I tried to capture other issues in the photos: notice the crack in the underside where the seat is attached. Still, for a chair that is over 110 years old, it is quite fine. Shipping will be via Fed Ex, continental US only.
