General Electric Stereophonic model #RC-4670 (c1963). Stylish mid-century stereo for vinyl enthusiasts. Beautiful design and function for apartment-dwelling audiophiles. Compact and clever, this solid state Walnut tube amp console can be wall mounted, tabletop or sit on the floor. The removable speakers double as doors, powered by electric hinges. The drop-front Garrard turntable stores away neatly when closed and there is also a pocket for vinyl storage. Four speeds (16, 33, 45 and 78). The AM / FM radio has a light-up tuner panel and there is an input jack for headphones. Dual channel stereo amplifier with controls - loudness, treble, bass, and channel balance. Receiver can connect to other components. Speaker input, vinyl storage, and original manual. All components of this unit are in working order—we put a couple hundred in to tune it up a few years ago. Cabinet is in good shape with some cosmetic damage consistent with age (scratches, etc). The rattan filter on speakers has some holes that do not affect performance. Perfect apartment size: measuring 32.5" W (with the speakers in the closed position), 11" D and just under 20" H. The speakers also have a slide-out hinge so they can be removed and mounted elsewhere, if preferred. Would add mid-century flair to any room! Serious inquiries only. Feel free to email or text with any questions. Pick up in West Harlem. Item can be transported in a taxi.
