1980's signage advertising education programs at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. It is printed on vinyl/film type of material as a duratrans intended to be back lit and I am guessing this for the inside ad header space in our CTA buses. Featuring Georgia O'Keeffe's fabulous painting Sky Above the Clouds from AIC collection. The original oil painting appears to be illuminated itself so I think the designers chose an excellent piece for this signage. You can get it mounted with the proper light box underneath and virtually have an iconic O'Keeffe in your groovy pad. I also think it looks great as is on a white background. It needs to be cleaned and does have a couple of small tears around the edges and top right corner is clipped. 19" x 39" Designed by Chicago artist & designer Kate Friedman. Great homage piece to trail blazing artist O'Keefe, City of Chicago and art education.
