A Large modern AREA RUG from iconic rug maker Edward Fields, made from 100% virgin wool in a rich Gray with complementary sculpted Cream pattern throughout. Dimensions: 16’11” x 15’4” 100% Virgin wool with sculpted design Stamped: Edward Fields 1987 Edward Fields luxury carpets are known for their unparalleled design, quality and craftsmanship and have graced the floors of the most sophisticated structures, from the White House’s Oval Office to the World Trade Center to architectural landmarks such as the Glass House and The Lever House, as well as notable private residences such as Princess Grace of Monaco and Mary Tyler Moore’s, as well as many others. Edward Fields has been trade secret among designers for decades. This particular rug was purported to have been commissioned for an office in the world trade center in 1987 and originally priced at more than $30,000… (I purchased it in the late 1990's from the decorator who had remodeled the office. ) There IS some small damage to the backing and some on the back edging, but is not noticeable on the top. It was like this when I purchased it myself. Please look carefully at the pictures. It is priced accordingly. If you have room, this is a great opportunity to invest in “floor art” of the highest quality, from an iconic designer.
