An antique Louis XV upholstered settee, 19th or early 20th century. This settee features an off white paint finish to the wooden frame with a serpentine crest rail and carved floral motif over an upholstered back panel with nailhead trim. The serpentine armrests feature a small upholstered pad flanking an upholstered seat with nailhead trim over a serpentine apron with floral motif rising on carved cabriole legs. The settee is upholstered in a light fabric with floral pattern. There are no visible maker’s marks. Per family lore, was owned by actress Catherine Deneuve and was purchased in France.
