Designed in the 50s for DANSK by Jens Harald Quistgaard, this is a large clean & bright example of the iconic, enameled- cast iron Kobenstyle cookware/serveware for DANSK.; a Dutch Oven/lidded casserole pot in glossy Sun Gold yellow, w/high gloss white enamel interior-w/original trivet lid of 2-sided, yellow enamel over cast iron. There is no staining/crazing/cracking/denting/utensil marking or wear-throughout this item. Produced in France, circa late 60s/earlier 70s this pot is in exceptionally good condition-w/less than age-commensurate signs of use/wear. The inarguably superior French enameling made these pans more durable and vibrant in color than the original Denmark & later production examples. The underside stamp places production date between 1965-1972. Equally suited for stovetop, baking in oven or serving/display, this classic mid century, highly-functional design form is perfect for chilis, curry, soups, stews, casseroles, larger batch grains, ++ deep cornbread + other baking; Lovely for display-& even lovelier when in use as a kitchen tool! There are no detractions from the great looking & great cooking aspects of this pot. All very minor, age-commensurate flaws to note are depicted in listing images, & listing info as follows: 1 fleabite to exterior rim of the lid, 1 fleabite to lower trivet handle 2 v small/typical fleabites on the rim itself 1 scrape of enamel to narrow side of 1 handle Dimensions: W 16.5" -outer handle to handle /W 11.5"- rim to rim x H 6.5" to top of lid/ H5.5"-to rim of pan NY Local Pickup is Available
