Tiggy & Pip is a vintage home décor shop by mother and son décor and interior design loving duo, Tiggy and Pip Coudray.
With a shared love of all things French and vintage we opened our shop in 2011.
Based in France, between Cognac and La Rochelle, we source unusual items from recent French and European history. Everyday French household items from the 1880's to 1980's which, although at one time were plentiful, are now increasingly rare and collectible. We source specialist props for films/photo shoots and interior designers. Many of our 'finds' are currently on display in a number of top New York restaurants and Hollywood apartments.

This platter would make an exquisite gift for a seafood chef or an excellent house warming present for those living near the sea.
Dating from the 1970's this platter has a creamy 'spearmint green' and white, majolica glazed finish and is wonderfully tactile with 'ridges' reminiscent of scallop shells and a 'fisherman's basket' weave effect behind. Finished with 'chocolate brown' edges, there cannot be a more stylish way to serve your seafood course at dinner parties!
Originally designed as a table centerpiece for serving 'Coquilles St. Jacques', (scallops) the platter has twelve 'scallop shell-shaped' depressions. The two central 'wells' could be used to stylishly serve your lemons ready for squeezing onto the seafood. It could also be used for oysters.
This platter is heavy weighing 1.8kg (4lbs!) and measures 33cms/13" diameter.
It has no chips and is in excellent condition.
It does have the slightest beginnings of 'hairline crackle' to the glaze, which is to be expected with the age of this platter, and does not in any way effect the platters integrity, or detract from its beauty or functionality; in fact adding to the charm and authenticity of this gorgeous item.
This platter has many years of service yet to offer.
