Günther Förg (1932-2013) was a German painter, graphic designer and photographer known for his abstract and heavily-dyed works on paper. His style recalls that of Cy Twombly, Ellsworth Kelley and Binkey Palermo (his artistic colleague.) This lithograph was published by Stoob in St. Gallen, Switzerland, is signed and numbered in pencil on recto and dry stamped with the publisher's seal. It is among Förg's more playful works, as it deviates from his signature geometric style. Image size: 18 1/2" x 16 1/4" Paper size: 19 3/4 x 17 1/4" The piece is floated in a white maple wood frame with UV-blocking OP3 acrylic glazing. It was framed by Hirsch & Associates in NYC. The frame is NOT included, but can be had for an additional price.
