This bed frame was purchased in 2013 from a dealer in Texas who works exclusively and directly with Amish furniture makers in the midwest and on the east coast.
It is solid pine and painted navy blue. The paint design on the head and foot board was created for an intentionally distressed look. The wood, also, has some rough knotting and cracks intentionally unfinished before painting for a rough, ranch aesthetic.
It was intended for use in our little boy's room, but he never used the bed. It was set up in an empty bedroom for 3 years and wrapped and stored properly for 2 years.
The abrasions seen on the headboard post are from moving the bed into storage (but are on the back side of the bed) and the chips next to the scratches are from a terrarium falling from the ceiling onto the ground and nicking the footboard.
It was purchased retail for $1,400.00.
