Tiggy & Pip
Tiggy & Pip is a vintage home décor shop by mother and son décor and interior design loving duo, Tiggy and Pip Coudray. With a shared love of all things French and vintage we opened our shop in 2011. Based in France, between Cognac and La Rochelle, we source unusual items from recent French and European history. Everyday French household items from the 1880's to 1980's which, although at one time were plentiful, are now increasingly rare and collectible. We source specialist props for films/photo shoots and interior designers. Many of our 'finds' are currently on display in a number of top New York restaurants and Hollywood apartments.

Description

Price includes shipping - see shipping notes. This amazing 1960's milk jug has been hand painted (it states this clearly in the mark on the base 'Peint Main') so is completely unique and original. Decorated with a white 'foam' surface glaze layer that contrasts beautifully with the warm, golden, caramel colored background. It is fascinating to look at and very tactile, it has a matt finish, not a shiny glaze, making it feel ‘earthy’ and cool. If you love modern mid century ceramics then this is for you. The pottery factory in Niderviller, one of the oldest in Lorraine Region of France, is the only one in the region to have manufactured porcelain with Sarreguemines earthenware. The Niderviller pottery was created at Niderviller (Moselle) in 1735. It measures 17cms/ 6 ¾" tall and 18cms/ 7" wide, from the spout to the handle. It weighs 600gms/ 1.3lbs. It is in in amazing condition with no visible chips or cracks. Fabulous to display in a country kitchen or rustic farmhouse setting. We ship worldwide.
