This highly sought after and rare credenza / dresser is from Bassett Furniture Co.'s "Mayan Collection". Designed by Leo Jiranek, its motif perfectly embodies the influences of the Jet Era of the mid 20th century; which helped create a fascination for exotic, international destinations and cultures. In this particular piece, the designer captures the trend of that moment with this Mayan inspired masterpiece.
The Mayan carvings on the solid wood pulls of the drawers and doors feel more like sculptural pieces of art, and are even more breathtaking in person. And the walnut grain throughout the piece is just as impressive.
The entire piece is simply stunning & in pristine condition. Made out of beautiful walnut, and all 9 dovetail drawers work perfectly.
