Lucien-Philippe Moretti (1922-2000) was a French modernist artist, whose oil and watercolor paintings and lithographs depict a wide range of emotions and characters. Never without his drawing pad, Moretti’s sensitivity to the complexities of the human being enabled him to capture a variety of everyday situations.
This is a painting of St. Francis, title "St. Francois." It is in excellent condition.
Lucien-Philippe Moretti died in 2000, completing his final works in the small village of Etretat, France.
My father represented Moretti as his U.S. agent during the mid 1960s.
