for sale is a vintage industrial chair by DoMore company. the company, originating in 1919 by two American GI's returning home from WW1, produced one of the first ergonomically designed seating solutions geared to extend productivity in the 1920's. in the 30's, Do/More established the Posture Research Institute as a non-profit division. the institute studied posture and its effect on the body and health, and was likely one of the first organized studies of the science which would eventually become ergonomics. they must have done well, since the company is still around in the same business. chair features four metal legs with rolling casters. adjustable height, back tilt and scalable backrest height. seat cushions reupholstered with brown salvaged leather.
