Tiggy & Pip is a vintage home décor shop by mother and son décor and interior design loving duo, Tiggy and Pip Coudray.
With a shared love of all things French and vintage we opened our shop in 2011.
Based in France, between Cognac and La Rochelle, we source unusual items from recent French and European history. Everyday French household items from the 1880's to 1980's which, although at one time were plentiful, are now increasingly rare and collectible. We source specialist props for films/photo shoots and interior designers. Many of our 'finds' are currently on display in a number of top New York restaurants and Hollywood apartments.

This is a vintage terracotta wine cooler 'Brique a Vin'- Very charming and rustic.
Perfect for Summer drinks outdoors. It would make a great gift for a host/hostess filled with their favourite bottle.
The unglazed terracotta has been stamped with a circular 'Brique a Vin' (Wine Brick) indentation before firing which adds to the charm and simplicity of the design.
These wine coolers are very effective during Summer to keep your white wine or rosé chilled. It can also be used in Winter to keep your red wine at the correct room temperature.
There are two ways to use it:
For chilling white wine and rosé:
Soak the wine cooler in cold water for about 7 minutes. The clay will darken as it absorbs the moisture, empty the water and place your favourite bottle of chilled wine in the cooler. The evaporation process will keep your wine cold for 3/4 hours!
For maintaining red wine at the 'idéale température':
Once you have warmed your red wine to the correct room temperature simply place it into the wine cooler and it will remain at the same temperature throughout the meal.
The Wine Cooler stands 24cms/9½" tall and is 12cms/4¾" diameter.
It weigh 1.3kgs/2.8lbs.
There is no damage at all to the terracotta although it has a few marks on the outside (see last image.)
