We are 2 women that restore historic homes and buy, restore and sell Mid Century Modern furniture and accessories.
This is a rare Mid Century headboard with built-in nightstands designed by Merton Gershun for the Dania Line of American of Martinsville in the early 1960's. Features a long sweeping design with slick black Formica top shelving, brass capped legs, and a nightstand on each side which has a shelf and small drawer. The area where the rails go are for a full size bed, however you can use a queen frame and it will fit between the nightstands (queen size beds are 60" wide, area between the nightstands is 61"). This is in excellent vintage condition with only minor marks typical age/use. The Formica top is in excellent condition as well with no chips. This is a rare piece of the Dania line to find, we also currently have the matching dresser in stock as well.

SHIPPING: SHIPPING IS NOT FREE!
We used to coordinate the shipping, however customers routinely contacted us for shipping updates and we are not a shipper. Therefore we are no longer coordinating the shipping. You will need to get quotes and pay the shipper directly.
For white glove shipping (which is blanket wrapped inside delivery with an estimated 4-8 week delivery time), the best options are:
Plycon (nationwide & parts of Canada) - www.PlyconGroup.com (this is the most expensive but most professional option)
UShip (you put in the info and shippers bid on the shipment. If using this option please make sure they blanket wrap. Otherwise professional packing on a piece this size is around $200 additional. Uship's website is www.uship.com
For east coast deliveries only we highly recommend Express It Service for great rates and service. Please contact us for their number.
We will not ship anything Greyhound and this piece is too large to ship LTL.
***When quoting please use the dimensions 96"L x 15"D x 35"H, 60lbs, shipping from a commercial location in zip 37830
** We specialize in authentic Mid Century Modern items from the 1950's thru the 1970's. Our goal is to make sure our customers are happy with their purchase. Therefore, we accurately represent/describe each item to the best of our ability keeping the age of the piece in mind. We are happy to provide you with as much information as possible before purchasing. PLEASE READ DESCRIPTIONS THOROUGHLY, MEASURE YOUR SPACE, AND ASK QUESTIONS OR REQUEST ADDITIONAL PHOTOS IF DESIRED. All sales are final.
Unlike most Mid Century dealers, we go over every inch of our pieces before they leave our showroom. Wood pieces undergo a 5 step restoration process to clean, nourish, remove scuffing/paint, hydrate, and bring out the original finish. All joints are tightened, missing hardware replaced, and all metal/chrome polished. We keep our items as authentic as possible. In our opinion sanding and staining a designer Mid Century piece will only diminish the value as the vintage authenticity and character is lost. We never pass the restoration costs onto our customers.
