OBJECTS OF ART in COMMERCE-from the ModHogs of MonDenNYC
This vintage Scandinavian Modernist revolving bookcase is a fantastic piece of functional mid20C design. In very good-excellent, sound original form & condition, this example shows some pucker to the veneer from houseplant placement, but no cracking, drying or discoloration. At 20" sq, a veneer replacement to suit preference is an easy fix, but not a necessary one, as 'flaws' are only visible in certain lighting situations AND does not affect the level plane of the surface. This is a quietly iconic piece- priced w/abundant consideration of the noted veneer aspect.
Produced in either Denmark or Sweden circa 60s, the spare, square silhouette is perched on a circular base w/smooth interior swivel mechanism & contrasting faux rosewood-grain wrap.
The sleek appeal of this bookcase is enhanced by its dimensions & open plan shelves w/alternating sides.
Versatile across a wide span of design/decor placements & purposes, the 12" height shelf spacing allows for display, LP, book and other storage
