I'm a big fan of housewares and textiles, both vintage and modern. Everything from Pyrex, Dansk, Mikasa, Le Creuset to barware, cutlery, linens and cooking utensils.
My studio is located in the East Oak Lane neighborhood of Philadelphia, but I do set up at various popup markets such as the Golden Nugget Market in Lambertville, NJ.
These Corning milk glass set of 4 bowls were manufactured in the 1960s for the WT Grant company, which had about 1,200 department stores throughout the United States. Sadly the company went out of business in 1976.
At some of the department stores they had a luncheonette called The Skillet.
These bowls were made specifically for their lunch counters.
Corning milk glass material with brown skillet pattern along the sides.
Measuring 4 and 3/4 inches wide by one and three quarter inches in height.
Vintage condition with some utensil marks on the bowl interiors.
