Framed dried Flowers shadowbox vignette 4-Leaf Clo
One-of-a-kind item, pressed dried flower vignette from about 1910 - 1920, based on the framing.
The practice of arranging dried flowers in a vignette image was most popular as a ladies pastime in the Victorian era, 1800's. It was not limited to flowers, they made images, vignettes and shadowboxed wreaths with feathers, butterfly wings, shells and human hair too.
The flowers here are summer field wildflowers. Cornflower, goldenrod, fern, and even a lucky four-leaf clover.
