Presented for sale here is an amazingly beautiful and iconic mid century modern walnut brass tall / highboy dresser from 60s with stunning carved solid walnut diamond frontal! This piece is a design of famed American designer Albert Parvin and produced by American of Martinsville in 60s. Arguably the best line that American of Martinsville ( AM ) ever produced in 60s, this diamond frontal is an iconic and highly sought-after design of late 50s and early 60s, along with the diamond front cabinetry produced by United Furniture. The diamond front line by AM screams quality and fantastic detail. Unlike diamond front design by United furniture, which used walnut veneered plywood with steam bending technique for producing the frontal, American of Martinsville used huge carved chunks of best grade solid walnut for the frontal of the 2 doors. Dynamically designed base accentuates the slick look. This top of the line piece is the most hard-to-find piece by AM as well. Absolutely gorgeous walnut with highly figured grain on all 4 sides. Dovetail construction etc as well. This particular piece is in an excellent condition with its beautiful walnut finish still glistening and structurally super solid. All doors and drawers works well. This piece measures 38.5″ W x 18.5″ D and 48″H. **** Next day delivery within Chicagoland area can be arranged at a small fee.
