Originally bought at Daniel Antiques in Chicago, then reupholstered by Romann Custom, the best artisan upholsterers in Chicago in raw oatmeal-colored linen. Super chic and comfortable. For you Francophiles, technically, this is a bergère, a style of French chair defined by its upholstered back and armrests. The seat frame is upholstered, too, but the rest of the wooden framing is exposed. (A bergère is fitted with a loose, but tailored, seat cushion, as you can see here. It is designed for lounging in comfort, with a deep, wide seat. You do not have to speak French to sit in this chair. ) Easy to move because I have a large service elevator. Questions? Ask away!
