Mid Century Modern Green Glass Cake Stand 1960s

Posted on Mon May 14 2018

Gorgeous olive green high design cake stand from the 1960s or 1970s, an art glass quality polished flat-edge piece that can serve up desserts at parties or corral fruit on your table or counter top. A truly elegant MCM serve ware piece that I'm sure was produced by a famous Swedish glass maker--Orrefors, Kosta Boda, etc--but there are no stickers or markings to identify. It's not your average cake stand. Get your kitchen and dining room chic on. 14" across the diameter at the top 5-1/2" tall Holds a serious cake, or lots of yummy cupcakes, finger desserts, or a dramatic assemblage of grapes and fruits for when you want to channel your inner Martha Stewart. It's in almost minute condition with one tiny flake on the bottom that can't be seen when in use. Apart from that it looks brand new. Located in Williamsburg or Bed-Stuy (home & studio) and available for pickup many days and most evenings. I can drop off in NYC curbside for 10 dollars. Cash only please. Contact me for more information, to buy, or discuss shipping (if that is what you need). It weighs 4 lbs, 12 ounces before packing, and I imagine with a packing job it might weigh at least 9 lbs in a big box.
