MCM Vintage Brasilia Walnut Dresser
This beautiful line of furniture was inspired by the founding of Brazil's new capital, the city of Brasilia. Between 1956 and 1960, inspired architect Oscar Niemeyer, showcased exaggerated curves and parabolic shaped architecture in the new modern capital. This would give form to what would become Broyhill's namesake furniture series, with details transmitted perfectly from architecture to beautifully crafted furniture.
This Mid Century designed piece is made from solid walnut with original iconic brass hardware. Enclosed behind the signature swooped bentwood pull doors, are three more drawers that slide out with ease. The dresser is in good vintage condition. Light surface ware can be seen behind right drawer handles and on top, along with minor scratches on legs due to age and use . Original color and hardware, with dovetail joints.
