1920's Thomasville Jacobean Style Dressing Vanity
Let me start by saying that I love to design and create. I have a background in Interior Design and was a design consultant for a couple of years. Life unfortunately pushed me in a different direction and I had to go down a different path.
A couple of years ago I decided that I just wasn’t happy not creating and designing so I started looking for ways to get back into design. Last year while remodeling our Kitchen that little spark in my soul lit again. Painting was so much fun and I was creating and designing again. I needed a new cabinet for one area in my house and I went to the furniture stores and left disappointed. Everything was fake wood and cheaply made. If I did find something real wood it was thousands of dollars and not exactly what I wanted. We ended up finding a beat up cabinet and refinishing it to exactly what we wanted and I thought this is what I need to do for more than just me.
My Husband Jeremy is great with woodworking and has been my go to repairman. We find pieces of furniture that needs repairs and a little bit of love and he makes it happen. All repairs are done by Jeremy before I take a paintbrush to it. He has excellent attention to detail and likes to make sure the repair will last for many years.
I like to be unique and one of a kind with my furniture and decor. If you want something that no one else has, and don't like buying items that are mass produced from the big stores, then get in contact with me and we can work together to create something just for you. Located in El Reno, Oklahoma, we offer shipping throughout the US.
They really don't make furniture like they used to.
This unique 1920's Thomasville Jacobean Style dressing vanity looks like it came up from the depths of the ocean. Refinished in a deep aqua blue called Poseidon and then all of the details were highlighted in a soft copper to create a one of a kind finish. Finally, the drawers have been wiped down with furniture salve to restore the wood and give off a lovely scent. The mirror is original to the piece and has a lovely natural patina. This beauty would be perfect to show off in your entryway or keep it for yourself in your bedroom.
Measures 68" tall with the mirror attached, 26" tall without the mirror, 46" wide and 18" depth.
