Fabulous Mid Century Modern Curtis Jere patinated metal 'raindrops' tree wall sculpture (circa 1965).
Curtis Jere was trade name for Curtis Freiler (1910-2013) and Jerry Fels (1917-2007) of Artisan House. Artisan House was founded by them in 1963.
Beautifully executed statement piece, a curvy flowing abstract tree form with rain drop / pod like discs in burnished brass. A fabulous addition to a mid century, danish modern, or hollywood regency inspired interior.
Dimensions: 36" Tall X 36" Wide X 4" Deep
Condition: Very good vintage/mid century modern condition. Light oxidation, minor age appropriate wear as shown in detailed photos. Jere signature was not found . Some of these sculptures originally had 2 thin brass loops in back for hanging- this particular sculpture does not -they may have come off /or taken off at an earlier point. The loops were distracting from the beauty of the art. The sculpture easily will hang on nails or screws in a wall.
