For local pickup only. Sorry, but no shipping offered. If you pay the asking price, I can deliver to your curbside, anywhere in Chicago or northern burbs (Evanston, Skokie, etc.) Regarding photos, the listing photo is one from the internet (not the unit being sold), but looks very similar in features. After finishing this unit, it should look something like the one in the first photo. Note that the unit bring sold does require some work, noted below. https://photos.app.goo.gl/YO19Ca92rtmfpwHf2 The photos show everything that is included in sale. Sale includes 5 modular cabinets, 5 flat shelves and 1 angled magazine shelf. Missing vertical support legs for cabinets. Here's a chance to get a beautiful wall unit that typically sells for $1,500 - $2,000, for a fraction of the cost. The only catch is that it needs a little work. The good: All the little nuts and screws are included. Overall, the cabinet units are in good condition (caveats below). If you have any woodworking experience, repair of the minor issues will be easy. As you can see in the photos, the veneer is beautiful and really pops. I haven't put any cleaner or finish on these so I can only imagine how amazing it will look when oiled properly. The bad: The legs are missing. Replacement is pretty straightforward though; 1x2 or 1x3 walnut (or even stained poplar if on a budget) boards with holes drilled to correspond with holes on the cabinets should suffice. The worst blemish seems to be a moisture/ink stain on top of one of the cabinets. This caused the veneer to lift at that area. A new sheet of veneer over this will be the easiest remedy. (Pictured) One of the cabinets has a cracked shelf and a deflected bottom panel. The shelf can easily be replaced. The bottom panel may require replacement, but could also potentially be braced. There are minor scratches and blemishes that will disappear with a good sanding and steaming. There is a corner with some damage that is pictured. A couple hinges need to be tightened up. So if you are willing to put in a couple weekends of work and maybe $100 in material, this will be a stunning piece. I didn't see a manufacturer anywhere on the cabinets and to be honest, I haven't done enough research on this particular item to find out who makes it. I can tell you that it's excellent quality. The drawer bottoms are veneered plywood instead of the typical laminated pressboard. Also, the back sides are finished with walnut veneer. FYI, regarding transport. The pieces easily fit in my Ford Escape with a lot of room to spare. May be a bit much for a small to midsize car though. Cash is king, butI can also accept PayPal.
