High quality vintage, hand fabricated heavy gauged hammered and heat welded sheets of copper. Its unique design is neoclassical revival, efficient, and still used in the modern era. This chafing dish is heavy and well built, features domed top, neoclassical decorated “finial”, and it is lined with molten tin. Provenance: Cyprus. Vintage or unique Copper home accessories are very versatile. They can complement a range of interior styles, from rustic kitchens to contemporary living rooms! This marvelous metal also looks great in industrial style spaces, as well.
Neoclassical buffet server is clearly well cared for and shows signs of traditional usage. The pot displays some minor dents from obvious use, as shown in the photos. But, it is still very solid, functional, and a real conversation piece. It will adorn any interior decoration and draw attention to your home. These are unusual, collectible, striking and shall augment your décor.
Period: Early 20th century. Neo-classical revival period of popularity: 1893 – 1940 (primarily 1900 – 1929). The style was based on the designs of Classical Greece and Rome. A major source of inspiration came from archaeological discoveries such as those made at Herculaneum and Pompeii which brought the ancient world to life.
