1930's WMF Ikora Lamp with Nightlight Art Deco
I truly enjoy learning about the people the craft, the materials and the market that is the design world. I enjoy passing that knowledge along so feel free to ask any questions.
Designed by Karl Wiedmann in the 1930's for WMF this lamp merges two of the now famous glass lines; Myra and Ikora. It has the beautiful iridescence of Myra glass combined with the patterns and integration of Ikora glass. Extremely rare. The lamp has the main bulb and a separate nightlight in the base. This lamp has the same setup except the nightlight has been replaced by a Philips HUe wifi controlled LED lighting strip in the base of the lamp. Pictures only include the white light setting but once hooked up to your Hue network all the possibilities are yours to discover.
