Tiggy & Pip is a vintage home décor shop by mother and son décor and interior design loving duo, Tiggy and Pip Coudray.
With a shared love of all things French and vintage we opened our shop in 2011.
Based in France, between Cognac and La Rochelle, we source unusual items from recent French and European history. Everyday French household items from the 1880's to 1980's which, although at one time were plentiful, are now increasingly rare and collectible. We source specialist props for films/photo shoots and interior designers. Many of our 'finds' are currently on display in a number of top New York restaurants and Hollywood apartments.

This is a stunning set of five antique French books in faded creamy yellow tones. They are 'aged to perfection' and will give you an instant 'old library' effect.
They look lovely tied up with twine and displayed on a coffee table, sideboard, mantelpiece, bedside table or dresser. The covers have faded with time to subtle, dusky, soft shades and the pages are yellowed with age, with age spots. They make excellent film and photo props and would be ideal for a boho, or shabby chic, themed wedding as a table centerpiece decoration.
The books in this 'vanilla yellow' book bundle are in genuine vintage condition, as you can see from the photos. Some of the pages and covers are slightly loose. One or two of the books have a few pages uncut - they have been like this since publication - and are all the more charming for it. They have been held and read by many, many people who have 'thumbed through' them, studied them, ear marked pages, loved, lost and cherished them and they have finally ended up here - looking for a new home and a new adventure. They have also gathered a few pencil marks, and names inside the front covers, over the years. I've left them exactly as I found them because they're authentic.
The five books are all paperback editions, distressed from years of genuine use, and some of the pages are delicate and loose:
The titles are:
Pensées de Pascal, sur la religion et sur quelques autres sujets. (1910 edition.) Pensées ("Thoughts") is a collection of fragments on theology and philosophy written by 17th-century philosopher and mathematician Blaise Pascal.
