Two bentwood dining chairs made by J & J Kohn, a leading Austrian manufacturer of furniture, founded in 1849. Chairs are both in un-restored, original condition c. 1900-1910. The paper labels on the underneath rims of both chairs read "Mazowia" - an area of Poland. Each seat is embossed with a peacock design. The Kohns’ company merged with Mundus in 1914 and the name became Kohn-Mundus.
