Tiggy & Pip is a vintage home décor shop by mother and son décor and interior design loving duo, Tiggy and Pip Coudray.
With a shared love of all things French and vintage we opened our shop in 2011.
Based in France, between Cognac and La Rochelle, we source unusual items from recent French and European history. Everyday French household items from the 1880's to 1980's which, although at one time were plentiful, are now increasingly rare and collectible. We source specialist props for films/photo shoots and interior designers. Many of our 'finds' are currently on display in a number of top New York restaurants and Hollywood apartments.

This is a very rare French 'Digoin & Sarreguemines' coffee set in an antique white color with 'gold' trim and delicate 'red rose' motif, named 'Sévigné'.
If you are decorating a country cottage dresser or love the idea of recreating a 'traditional afternoon cream tea' for a summer garden party then this set is for you. Such a pretty way to serve coffee and tea, alongside your scones with jam and cream or slices of Victoria sponge.
Ideal for 'shabby chic tea parties', it will look pretty with old roses and other vintage prints.
It is rare to find a complete set, with both the milk jug and sugar bowl with lid included, and this set is in near perfect condition.
Each piece has the 'Digoin Sarreguemines France' mark on the underside.
The eight cups measure 7cms/2¾" diameter (at their widest) x 6.5cms /2½" deep with eight matching saucers measuring 14cms/5½" diameter.
The milk jug/creamer measures 12cms/4¾" deep x 12cms/4¾" diameter (including the spout and handle)
The sugar bowl and lid measure 12cms/4¾" deep and 12cms/4¾" diameter
The coffee pot and lid measure 27cms tall/10½"(to the lid) x 21cms/8¼" diameter (including the handle and spout)
The lid of the coffee pot and sugar bowl are the same size and therefore interchangeable.
Altogether this set weighs 3.2kgs/7lbs.
The world famous 'Sarreguemines' pottery was established during the French Revolution and the faience 'Digoin Sarreguemines' mark has been used since 1835. Production finally ceased in 1979.
There are no visible, chips or cracks. One cup has a microscopic 'nick' in the handle and there is some fading of the gold trim on the coffee pot handle.
There is some slight discoloration at the base of the milk jug and inside the coffee pot, which cannot be seen and does not detract in any way from the beauty or functionality of this gorgeous set. There is the beginning of 'hairline' crackle to the glazes, but this is to be expected with the age of the set and simply adds to its charm and authenticity.
