Four Arthur Umanoff tulip armchairs
Four vintage 1978 mid-century modern tulip base fiberglass shell armchairs by Arthur Umanoff for Contemporary Shells. Obviously in the style of Eero Saarinen.
Structurally solid, with no loose welds or bolts. Bases all swivel smoothly forever and ever amen. Shells are fiberglass (the color is linen-esque) and have been painted the same high gloss almost-almost-almost-white as the bases (not by me). The paint is overall in very good shape with some normal wear and tear, mostly on the edges.
Chairs come with white Naugahyde seat cushions. They just rest on the seats; they're not connected in any way. This is probably for the best, as they're just about too misshapen/unsightly to use.
Banana for scale.
