The dining set includes four substantial chairs and two extension leaves, all made from the same wood. When extensions are not in use, the slots for the extensions are covered by two wood pieces. The table was custom made by a woodworker in upstate New York. This type of maple gets its name from the ambrosia beetles that burrow through the wood and leave behind interesting markings. You can see the unique patterns across the top of the table. The table is very easy to clean and maintain. It is built to last and endure heavy use, and it is in excellent condition.
