Both a design gallery and the home to one of Chicago’s most passionate furniture collectors, The Gilded Terrace beckons visitors to explore their passion for decor, while demonstrating that any lovely item can be used in a ‘livable’ way. The setting is an eclectically decorated apartment within a 1920’s pre-war high-rise. The collection - some of which is available on Apartment Therapy - is a mixed display of Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie & Oriental-chic, among various other period styles.
Offered here is a Henredon armoire, finely crafted as part of the Historic Natchez Collection. Complete with Neoclassical elements stylized in the Southern American vernacular, this rare piece is sure to be the highlight of any room.
The armoire is suitable as an entertainment cabinet or for clothing storage. As an entertainment cabinet, a TV up to 45.5" wide can be stored in the upper compartment. Otherwise, there is an adjustable shelf which can be placed in the upper compartment. The lower compartment includes 3 dovetailed drawers, with ample room for clothing or DVD's/CD's.
