Description

Framed by Robert Grace of Hollister, CA this is a print of "Four Cottages" a plate from J. B. Papworth's "Designs for Rural Residences" published in 1818. If you are needing a Bridgerton vibe in your home, look no further! I'm not sure how old the framing and printing was done of this piece (Four Cottages) (and it's sister print, The Vicarage) but I would guess the early 1990s perhaps, based on history of the framing shop. I did not dismantle the print to see how old the prints might be. I think this may be a bit faded, but it's hard to say. Curiously, I've had a matching framed picture, framed exactly the same way hanging in my home for years now, and just recently came upon this one and it's sibling. Delightful. The image is 15 x 9 inches inside the matte which is a mocha and mushroom layering with a faux distressed brown and black wooden frame which has some scratching and wear and tear. It has a wire for hanging and the back paper is mostly intact. Under glass.
