A pair of unusual signed Ficks Reed captain's chairs that swivel and are on casters. The style is quite pleasing with an elongated window pane design on their backs that is reminiscent of the Prairie School. These chairs exhibit the best of Ficks Reed quality in their construction and are still solid and stable and have many years of use left in them. They do show normal signs of age and wear and could use a good polishing and some minor touch up on their finish. They do need to have the cushions replaced. The back cushions are ingeniously snapped in to place making them easy to remove, yet keeping them securely in position. The chairs are comfortable without the back cushions as well if you prefer a more open look. I have not been able to find this style illustrated anywhere -- in old company catalogues or on the secondary market.
