As a visual merchandiser for Ralph Lauren and later a textile buyer at Pottery Barn, Catherine's travels took her to India where she fell in love with the people and the beauty of the country. Captivated by the tradition of Indian block-printing, Catherine dreamt of a way to bring the compelling color combinations and charming imperfections of block printing to a lifestyle collection here in the states. She created Rikshaw Design in 2008, launching with bohemian baby bedding and accessories.
