I've been obsessed with porcelain garden stools lately. (Furnishing my patio, don't ask.) So, of course, I checked out the website when I saw the lovely celadon one in the picture. But, really... $475 for a garden stool? From China? When you can get a similar one from any major city's Chinatown for around $70 ($45 if you're good at haggling--yes, I've done it!), from online retailers like Wisteria for under $100, and from upscale garden stores for $200? Overall, it seems like a good place to go to for inspiration and then try to find similar items elsewhere at a fraction of the cost. Enrique on Apr 15, 2005
