I'm also echoing the horrible customer service.
We registered for our china there. I had heard that it might be discontinued (Table Stories, RIP, by Tord Boontje), so I asked them to let me know if and when that was happening. They said that of course they would let me know. Not only did they not let me know when it was discontinued (like a month later), I discovered on my own that they even had it massively discounted because it was being discontinued. By that time, most of the pieces were gone due to the sale. They then refused to return ANY of my phone calls or emails.
The people who ordered gifts for us there (before we pulled our registry) were treated rudely enough that every single one commented to me about it.
Thank God for Vessel - the people there are total saints and helped us get all of our china. In several cases, we got the last pieces that were available anywhere. Table Stories was a complicated pattern because it had so many variations; the staff at Vessel repeatedly went far above and beyond to help us get the different variations. Of course if Unica Home had just let us know what was happening, that wouldn't have been necessary.
I agree with jmorey: DON'T BUY FROM THEM definitely belongs at the top of this post. pgar on Sep 1, 2009
^^^I, too, question why AT is reposting this after all of the negative feedback. Kathryn on Apr 14, 2009
