Hi there. Thanks again for the write-up on our wallpapers and fabrics. Yes, we do feel that there is a collective ginkgo biloba obsession out there - which we were not so aware of when we created the Montague design back in 2004. We collected ginkgo leaves from our Brooklyn street and used them to design this pattern, in an effort to recreate the natural beauty of Montague Street in the fall. The gingko leaf has such inherently beautiful, graphic architecture, so it seems that many of us are drawn to it - and have been for centuries, as the ginkgo is an ancient tree. twenty2 on Jan 27, 2009
The Montague pattern is strikingly similar to the recent Kristina Isola Marimekko pattern"
Floating ginkgo leaves isn't that original. Either that or I've a great mind too, which I doubt.
