From Paris to Milan to London flying to Ibiza jumping to Goa or Tokyo for a sushi/macha pause. Our qualifications for this job? Absolutely nothing, other than we live in the area, and we really, really love LA, the most misunderstood metropolis in America. We are not aspiring architects, lifestyle guru, designer guides or new trends executives. We are nothing. We drink too much, we take Prozac and we don’t work out as much as we should. However, on the other hand, we have been called members of West Hollywood’s “Gay C-List,” which we view as too kind of a compliment.
for travel, we pay our own way, we don’t get comped anywhere. On to our first destination, probably the most vilified place, in all of the world, at this particular nanosecond (we thought we’d start this job off with a bang). That would be Goa, its Bollywood stars, private Party and notorious Dj’s Anjuna scene. Chic hotels, pretty people and decadent lifestyle. Right now I am about to scream, cuss, and put my fist through the wall, because mentioning places at once in any form or fashion puts me one step closer to my inevitable electroshock therapy.
I love love love designer. When they are great and sexy it’s a Must. Hey lookie, Monsoon Heritage studio in Goa with designers Yahel Chirinian and Doris Zacheres is in my top ten “Sexiest Place on Earth”. This design studio is the hype, boho, rock star, exclusive sacred temple. Where else can you order a futuristic opium bed? These girls are stunning! You don’t need a passport to enter Monsoon Heritage, but you feel like entering another world. Breathtaking lightings, accessories, furniture and design studio. Magic atmosphere. Yahel Chirinian says she wants to change the way people live. She adds you are where you live. She believes that each design is a unique response to a unique situation, an intimate connection between places and people. That design is one's ultimate lifestyle resource, it can be transformative, help realize a dream, if it is brought up to its modern and organic potential. And my Godness, she does it very well.
Every neo hippies fashion guru and cutting edge designer will surely send you to a pilgrimage to Monsoon Heritage. We felt enveloped in the fantasy of what I dreamed Goa to be. Girls we love you.

Well I dropped out for a while didn't I? Part of the reason I haven't posted is because I took a last minute offer to head up with some friends and stay at the Leela Palace in Goa, India. Pretty damn swanky digs .

I would have taken a lot of pictures if I hadn't been stopped by a lovely but stern woman in a silk Chinese shirt and Prada sneakers. Too bad because the place was made for photographing.

Not having felt enough like the penniless bastards we really are (our stay was comped by my friend's DJ Tye), we took a trip to some of the finer purveyors of swank around town. First a bottle of champagne at the Hyatt, to continue to relax the Taj Exotica and its Spa....then our stop was Monsoon Heritage Studio whose designs are featured in the latest issue of Wallpaper. Designer Yahel Chirinian and Doris Zacheres were the nicest beautiful and talentful people I've ever met since long time.

Yahel and Doris design stunning home items ranging from vases to fairy sculpture lighting to breathtaking furniture presented with glamorous and exquisite taste. It's one thing to see cool furniture. It's another thing to see it coordinated with all the right touches so you don't feel like you are just looking at a sofa but at a room out of someone's (very chic) home...
