Walk down 24th Street in Noe Valley and you are bound to see plenty of stores filled with gifts and tchochkes, but Urban Nest is a step above and beyond. Here you can find the perfect gift for a housewarming, baby shower, birthday... pretty much any occasion. However, unlike many similar places in the area, the store manages to feel calm and inviting, rather than overwhelming.

This place looks nice, but it's overpriced and the stock very rarely changes. The first couple times I went in I was impressed, but now I'm just bored. Plus, the owner is just not a very warm person and is on the phone 98% of the time. noedame on Apr 4, 2009
