The Clearing House is a consignment shop located in the Hamptons. The shop collects their inventory from local homes and estate sales and makes fine furnishings available at a discounted price. They have two large shops - one in Southampton and one in Greenport.

anyway, thanks for posing your comments. The ClearingHouse only cherry picks the best estate items. Our pricing guidelines are to begin any item at 50% of the retail value. From there we mark-down 10% each month until 30% more is taken off. if the item hasn't sold by then the owner has the option of donating it to our charity "No Place Like Home" or picking it up. The "tag sale" junk that was mentioned is actually items that are either sold at a nominal fee, or given away to women and children coming out of domestic violence shelters (this is thru our "No Place Like Home" charity shoppe).
